2010
I started in 2010, freelancing on Upwork. But my real education started with Infusionsoft.
Before I called myself a developer, I was a CRM and automation specialist. I learned how membership access actually works underneath — tagging, permissions, who gets what and when. Most people build the site first and work out the access rules afterward. I learned it the other way round, and it shaped everything since.
For years I worked across the membership stack as it existed then — iMember360, AccessAlly, Memberium, InfusedWoo. Most of those tools don’t matter anymore. What mattered was the pattern underneath: every membership business has the same core problem, and it isn’t the design. It’s the system that decides who sees what.
